A passenger with no flying experience safely landed a small airplane at a British airport after the pilot became deathly sick. The plane was carrying only two passengers and one of them got up and took charge. It's said that he flew the plane over the airport a few times before landing with a huge thump. While he was trying to land he was being talked to over a radio by two flight instructors. Nobody was injured, but the sick pilot later died. No names were given and the reason for the pilots death has not been released.
I thought this was very strange without a lot of information, but interesting enough to share. If I was in this situation I'm really not sure how I would have handled it!

Wow! That's scary. Usually, I thought most flights had a co-pilot on board who could take over if something happens to the pilot. Wonder why there was no co-pilot on board. It's a good thing there was a passenger who could guide the plane to safety.
